Project 1 : Defining and Documenting a Project
In a group of six (6) members , your task is to design and manage a simple construction project in a way that emphasize s COST, QUALITY or TIME, with a measurable ‘ success criteria
Four ( 4 ) components in total (5% each) :
Introduction,, Expanded organizational chart,, Conclusion with 1 case study
Design (Analysis,, Proposal),, Success Criteria
Project scheduling & monitoring - Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) / Gantt Chart
Minutes of meetings,, meeting agendas
In addition to the above components,, the groups will be assessed via their performance each week in the six (66) mock client - consultant meeting (CCM) that will take place from week 2 to week 7 . Each member will be required to conduct a meeting on a rotation basis.
Project 2 :Documentation of a Medium-Sized Project
Your task is to document your own Design Studio Project from the point of view of a Project Manager .
Document (WWritten report,, annotated visual images)) will be in 5 main Components in total::
1.. Introduction of Project (Identifying clients,, stakeholders,, objectives and goals) .
2.. Design Analysis,, picking up issues of Design Suitability and Project Viability and specifically related to your design.. (NNote:: This is to be in essay format , schematic diagrams, sketche s and drawing where necessary
3.. Project Procurement and Resource Planning (tto identify the most suitable contract procurement for the project and planning of resources , organization structures to achieve project deliverables))
4.. Risk Analysis,, and Maintenance Strategy (tto achieve the identified success criteria and project deliverables ) . This must be in a table format..
5.. Success Criteria , WBS,, Gantt c hart (sshowing the measurable success criteria for the overall implementation strate gy,, analysis of critical path s , floats plotted against time).. This chart will highlight Project Deliverables .
6.. Students are required to perform their own research and study on the mentioned components..
