Project 1
In this project, Individually we are to produce an A3 presentation board on the selected case study and a series of reflection video on the case study
The case study topics given are :-
Parks
Passive Landscape
Public Markets
Campuses
Streetscapes
Pocket Parks and Plazas
Playgrounds
Waterfronts
We need to select one case study from the topics above and do a comparative study of similar topics with a local case study. We need to document your findings in a form of presentation board consist of text (short summary) and images (illustration, photo or diagram) that best represent the topic discussed. In our info comparative case studies, we need to highlight the typology, function and how people response to the space. Our research should also highlight the basic information, design intention, characteristics and management of the space.
I choose to do research on PARK and had choosen Gunung Gading National Park with The Grand Canyon National Park.
For this assignment, we are also required to produce a short summary video based on the research that we had found.
Reflection:
I know myself, i always failed in my geography because i cannot recognise the places and roads. But i am trying to change that. It is cool that from this assignment, i get to know more about Malaysia and Australia's National Park. From all the research that i had done, i know that it is very difficult for one association to handle a park without the help of the local residents and support of the government.
